This was a wonderful little campground! We were able to get bundles of firewood delivered straight to our campsite and there are fire pits at each cabin and tent setup. The bathrooms just a few minutes walk from the tents and cabins (but much closer to the RV camping section) but they are easily accessible and clean. The Casino Grill is a reasonably priced and has your last minute essentials including ice, some food items, some beach toys, etc.The beach can get crowded when the weather is nice, but campers don't have to pay to use the beach as it's included with you rental fee.
I have been going to lake Massasecum since I was a little girl! From just a day at the lake to camping on site ! It’s ALWAYS clean the beach and bathroom areas . The staff , even though it has changed owners through the years ; have Always been pleasant .I love that they offer the ability to rent canoes , paddle boats , and Kayaks !!!
This spot is a must stay location at least once. The lake is beautiful, and the water is a perfect mix of comfortable (in the swim area) and it has all of the exciting areas a lake should have (mysterious island in the middle of the lake). The service is good and I would of gave it 5 stars but there is one member of the staff who is not professional in the slightest. The rooms get a 3 because they are cozy little cabins and it has the look of being rustic but at the same time, the beds are abhorrent, the bugs are serious and the slanting of the units is a little scary. Overall I do highly recommend staying for one night, it's a wonderful experience.
Although I've never camped here you cannot beat the view of the lake and shady pines that nestle the beach area and camping spots. It truly is a nostalgic area. If your not camping here you have to pay to spend time at the beach which is pretty standard anywhere you go anyways. Its clean and lots of family activity and boating to boot. Very peaceful. The Lake and Mount Sunapee area offers a range of activities for every season. In the winter, enjoy ski lift tours to the summit, while the summer brings hiking trails, craft fairs, antique shopping, and vibrant farmers’ markets. The surrounding towns of Bradford, Newbury, and Sunapee feature excellent dining options to suit all tastes. Plus, it’s just a quick 30-minute drive to Concord or Manchester, making it a perfect getaway spot for relaxation and adventure.
This is a wonderful place to bring your family. The lake is beautiful, it's clean, not to deep for kids and it's not overcrowded. The cabins are cute and clean. The owners take pride in the business and it shows. We enjoy taking advantage of this every chance we get.
