Lake Moc-A-Tek Campground Introduce

For families and outdoor enthusiasts across Pennsylvania looking for a multifaceted retreat, Lake Moc-A-Tek Campground stands as a prominent fixture in the Lake Ariel landscape. This destination is much more than a simple plot of land for tents; it is a comprehensive recreational complex that caters to the diverse needs of the modern camper. Combining the rustic charm of a mountain cabin getaway with the convenience of a high-end RV park and the excitement of a fishing camp, it offers a slice of the Poconos that is both accessible and engaging. Under recent management, the facility has undergone significant transformations, aiming to become one of the most amenity-rich campgrounds in the Northeastern Pennsylvania region.

The campground prides itself on creating a high-energy environment where boredom is not an option. From the moment local residents pull into the property, the focus on family-oriented fun is evident. The atmosphere is a blend of traditional lakeside relaxation and active play, designed to keep children entertained while providing adults with the serenity of a mountain backdrop. Whether you are a local from the Scranton area looking for a quick weekend escape or a traveler from across the Commonwealth seeking a seasonal home for your RV, Lake Moc-A-Tek offers a variety of lodging styles to suit every preference.

Location and accessibility are key components of the Lake Moc-A-Tek experience. Situated at 57 Peifer Road in Lake Ariel, PA 18436, the campground is nestled in a region famous for its rolling hills and proximity to major waterways. It is conveniently located for those traveling from throughout the tristate area, yet it feels worlds away from the hustle of suburban life. The site features a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, ensuring that the initial arrival is smooth for all guests. The property is designed with on-site parking to accommodate both daily visitors and long-term campers, making it easy to unload gear and get right to the business of relaxing.

The services offered at Lake Moc-A-Tek Campground are extensive, reflecting its status as a premier RV park and fishing camp. The management has invested heavily in modernizing the infrastructure, which is particularly noticeable in the updated restroom and shower facilities. For those who prefer "glamping" or a sturdier roof over their heads, the mountain cabins provide a cozy alternative to traditional camping. The facility also embraces modern technology by accepting various payment methods, including debit cards and NFC mobile payments, simplifying the check-in process for a seamless start to your vacation.

This is our first year here and we are so lucky we chose this location. We searched for months and everywhere we looked had no amenities, nothing for the kids. This place is packed. Zipline, arcade, two swimming pools, splash pad, fishing. Mini golf, bounce pad. Even the bathrooms are stunning! The owner really flipped this place after buying it and it shows! Thanks Mike and Cheryl! Happy to be part of Lake Mocatek!

Extremely disappointed with this campground. The owner was rude and made us feel completely unwelcome from the moment we arrived. The property itself is rundown and poorly maintained, with broken amenities and a generally dilapidated feel. On top of that, the lake it sits next to smells terrible and adds to the overall unpleasant experience. Definitely would not recommend.

Overall pleasant experience, you have a feeling of camping with a concierge service, staff is friendly and you always have someone to help at the office, since this is not a state park you may have a feeling of more freedom and security. There are few minor things i pointed out below most of campers wont see as a problem. You are on a private farm. We experienced some maintenance and construction activities on weekend, i was told this was a one time deal. Need to be more considerate. Some rental boat ore locks are broken but there are plenty that are not, just need to be fixed. One pick nick table is rotten and needs to be replaced. A few dead trees to be removed as they pose hazard and a liability if fall. No bench or shelves in bathroom.I like this place and will return, my review is simply to help owners to preserve and improve for us enjoy summer after summer.

This is a very family friendly camp ground. They have maintained it clean and nice. We rented a cabin and it was clean and comfortable with lake view. You can rent a boat for $12 and fish all day long. The lake has some great fish to catch. Overall a great experience and will return again!

I have been going there for the past 5 years and friends of ours had a camper there as well. Management has changed and the place is being run into the ground. The owners are no longer present and they only have one person working there. The restrooms are falling apart. The grass was knee high. The kids pool had dirty yellow water and garbage in it.While I was there camping many RPV owners complained about various conditions. You can tell h place is no longer managed at all and more and more RV sites are left vacant where there were no RV sites available in the past. Sad but it is the reality of what’s left of this place.
