Secluded Acres Campground Introduce

Secluded Acres Campground offers a true escape into the natural beauty of the Pocono Mountains. Spanning 350 acres of lush Pennsylvania woodlands in Lake Ariel, this family-owned destination is designed for those who want to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature. The campground is known for its serene environment, where towering trees and frequent wildlife sightings create a tranquil backdrop for both seasonal and transient campers. Whether you are looking for a weekend of primitive tent camping under the stars or a comfortable seasonal home for your RV, Secluded Acres provides a well-maintained and welcoming community for all outdoor enthusiasts.

The atmosphere at Secluded Acres is specifically tailored to families. It balances the quietude of a secluded forest with a vibrant array of activities that keep children and adults engaged. From organized weekend events and bingo nights to peaceful afternoons spent by one of the two on-site fishing ponds, the park fosters a sense of nostalgia for classic American camping. The management takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized facility, ensuring that the bathrooms are spotless and the grounds are safe, making it a reliable choice for Pennsylvania residents looking for a high-quality "staycation" within their own state.

Located at 150 Martys Main St, Lake Ariel, PA 18436, the campground is exceptionally well-positioned for local travelers. It is situated just five miles away from the sprawling Lake Wallenpaupack, one of Pennsylvania’s premier destinations for boating and water sports. For those coming from major hubs, the campground is easily accessible via Interstate 84, sitting roughly 25 miles east of Scranton and about a two-hour drive from both Philadelphia and the New York City metropolitan area. This makes it a perfect Friday-to-Sunday retreat for urban dwellers seeking the fresh mountain air of the Lackawaxen Valley.

Accessibility is a priority at Secluded Acres. The facility features a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, and restrooms, ensuring that the camping experience is inclusive for all family members. The park's layout includes wide, well-spaced sites that accommodate large RV rigs, including many pull-through options that make navigation simple for those new to towing. Once on-site, the terrain is varied, offering both level grassy areas and more rugged, wooded sections that provide the privacy and "seclusion" for which the campground is named.

What makes Secluded Acres Campground worth choosing is its ability to offer an authentic, rustic camping experience without sacrificing essential modern comforts. For the tent camper, the lack of light pollution and the quiet "no-engines-allowed" ponds provide a level of immersion in nature that is becoming increasingly hard to find. For the RV owner, the spaciousness of the sites—some of which are over 300 seasonal spots—means you never feel crowded by your neighbors. It is a place where you can enjoy a "mental vacation" by simply watching the deer that often roam the park at dawn and dusk.

Furthermore, the value of the location is unbeatable for local Pennsylvanians. Being just five minutes from the public boat launches of Lake Wallenpaupack allows you to enjoy the high-energy thrill of a massive powerboat lake during the day, while retreating to the quiet, shaded woods of Secluded Acres at night. Whether you are hiking the kid-friendly trails, letting your dog run in the dog park, or simply relaxing by a campfire with a bag of wood delivered to your site, the campground provides a seamless and stress-free experience. If you are looking for a clean, friendly, and truly secluded spot to build family traditions, this Lake Ariel gem is the ideal choice.

Great campground. Mix of seasonal/permanent and short-term campers. We had a great pullthrough with a lots of space for our 45 ft 5thwheel. Trish in the office was super nice. They have a honey wagon that empties your tanks 2x a week for free. Would def. go there again. Very quiet during the week, but lots of kids and activities on the weekends.

Beware of renting a lot at secluded acres the owner is a horrible person that doesn’t care about his campers he was horrible to my family when they are going through hard times and forced us into selling our camper by harassment voicemails and terrible phone calls sometimes 3 times a day while my husband was at work soon as the lot rent was a day late and it was constant during hard times and sickness in our family I will NEVER recommend anyone to camp there avoid this over priced campground at all cost ! And this goes for the whole staff we have never been treated so badly and I wouldn’t even give it the one star but couldn’t post otherwise
