Memory Lane Campground Introduce
For many families in Pennsylvania, the quintessential summer experience involves the scent of pine needles, the sound of a crackling campfire, and the distant laughter from a wooden roller coaster. Memory Lane Campground, located in the charming community of Elysburg, embodies this classic Keystone State tradition. Situated in the historic Reeder’s Grove area, this privately owned campground serves as a serene "hole-in-the-wall" sanctuary for those who want to experience the thrills of the nearby Knoebels Amusement Resort while retreating to a quiet, wooded village at the end of the day. The campground is designed with a deep respect for nostalgia, featuring vintage decor and a lush canopy of native trees that create a secluded, magical atmosphere.
Memory Lane is not just a place to park or sleep; it is a meticulously maintained village that prioritizes family values and old-fashioned charm. From the moment you arrive, the attention to detail is evident, with unique wooden decorations, squirrel and deer feeders, and a restored trolley car that adds to the site's distinctive character. It is a place where repeat guests are treated like family, and new visitors are quickly "entangled in the magic" of the Roaring Creek Valley. Whether you are looking for a rustic tent site or a fully furnished log cabin, Memory Lane offers a stable and welcoming home base for your next Pennsylvania adventure.
Location and accessibility are among the greatest advantages of staying at Memory Lane Campground. Its physical address at 134 Reeder's Grove Rd, Elysburg, PA 17872, puts it in a prime position for outdoor lovers. Most notably, the campground is situated less than 80 yards from Knoebels Amusement Resort. This incredible proximity allows guests to walk directly into the "Kiddieland" section of the park in just a few minutes, bypassing the need for driving or navigating large public parking lots. For families with young children, this level of access is invaluable, making it easy to return to the cabin for a midday nap or a quiet meal before heading back out for more rides.
Accessing the campground from major regional routes is straightforward. Guests traveling from I-80 or I-81 will find well-marked paths through the scenic Pennsylvania countryside. The campground is located just off PA Route 487, making it a convenient destination for residents of nearby Sunbury, Danville, and Bloomsburg. Upon arrival, the site offers on-site parking specifically designated for each cabin or cottage, ensuring that your vehicle is always within reach and secure during your stay.
Memory Lane Campground goes beyond the basic "four walls and a roof" approach by offering comprehensive services that cater to the modern camper’s needs while maintaining a rustic feel. One of its standout services is serving as a dedicated firewood supplier, providing seasoned wood and kindling directly on-site so guests can enjoy a traditional campfire without having to haul heavy supplies from home. The management team is frequently praised for their prompt communication and helpfulness, ensuring that every guest feels supported from the initial booking to the final check-out.
- Fully furnished cabin and cottage rentals including linens, towels, and basic kitchenware.
- On-site firewood and kindling sales ($5 per bundle) with free fire starter provided.
- Potable running water and modern restroom facilities for all guests.
- Dedicated waste management services, including garbage and recycling disposal.
- Climate control in all cabins and cottages via modern mini-split heating and air conditioning units.

The features and highlights of Memory Lane Campground are designed to surprise and delight visitors of all ages. Each cabin and cottage is uniquely named after a native tree species—such as Chestnut, Walnut, or Sycamore—reflecting the lush foliage that defines the property. The interiors are often decorated with nostalgic Knoebels signs and vintage Americana, providing a warm and cozy atmosphere that feels deeply rooted in Pennsylvania history. The outdoor spaces are equally well-thought-out, featuring rocking chairs on front porches and private fire pit areas that encourage relaxation and connection.
- Pristine, privately owned log cabins and a restored vintage cottage with full bathrooms and kitchenettes.
- "Good for kids" environment featuring a small, safe layout and proximity to the park's kiddie area.
- Picnic tables and charcoal grills at every site, perfect for family cookouts and outdoor dining.
- A charming "niche village" feel with unique features like an old-school Pepsi machine and wooden mushrooms.
- Strict 10:00 PM quiet hours to ensure a restful night's sleep for all families.
- On-site parking with specific spots allocated for each rental unit to minimize congestion.
For those looking to secure a spot at this popular destination, it is important to contact the management early, as the campground often books up many months in advance—especially for holiday weekends and the park’s famous "Hallo-Fun" event in October. Communication is best handled via email or the provided local phone lines.

Choosing Memory Lane Campground is worth it for anyone who values a high-quality, stress-free camping experience. One of the primary reasons it is worth choosing is the sheer amount of supplies provided. Unlike many campgrounds where you must bring your own bedding and kitchen tools, Memory Lane provides full linens, paper products, dish soap, and even coffee pots. This convenience allows you to pack light and spend more time enjoying your vacation. The cleanliness of the facilities is a point of pride for the owners, with many guests remarking that the cabins look and smell brand new even after years of use.
Furthermore, the unique "magic" of the location makes it a standout choice in Central Pennsylvania. It offers the perfect compromise for families: the excitement of a world-class amusement park is literally steps away, yet the campground itself remains a quiet, secluded forest retreat. This allows you to experience the best of both worlds—vibrant entertainment and peaceful nature. For local Pennsylvanians, Memory Lane is more than just a place to stay; it is a place to build traditions that will last for generations. Choosing this campground means choosing a personalized, boutique experience where the owners genuinely care about your stay and the surrounding environment. Whether it's your first time or your fourth, Memory Lane delivers a heartwarming and authentic camping experience that keeps guests coming back year after year.

We absolutely loved our 2 night stay in the Chestnut cabin! The inside of the cabin is very cozy, and everything you possibly need is provided, which is amazing! Silverware, a pot and pan, a hotplate, plates, bowls, mugs, etc. Even linens are provided. The outside of the cabin is magical! The porch has 2 rocking chairs which we loved, and the fire pit area with the grill was just a perfect touch. There is also a lot of older signage on the cabins and around the campsite. Not to mention, it's literally steps away from the kiddie area of Knoebels, which we took full advantage of. We absolutely cannot wait to come back!Update: Loved it so much, I went back again! Thank you Brady and Lydia, Dave and Dyan! Loved meeting you all and the best people ever! See you again soon!Update 2: We had to go back for Hallo-Fun, and SO glad we did! It has a unique magic that I can't say enough about. I'll be back for a 4th visit in April or May!
We just got back from an overnight stay and it was AMAZING! The cabin was perfect for my 2 young kids, my husband and I. I was shocked at all that was provided - full linens, bathroom spray, tissues and toilet paper, napkins, paper towels and dish soap. Many cabins you just get the four walls and a roof and that’s it. 😅 Speaking of, the cabin itself looked brand new. The AC worked great, the bathroom and kitchenette was spotless and the linens all smelled so fresh and clean! The cabin also had decor (haha yes, are you as surprised as I am!?, I’ve never seen that before!) The two rocking chairs on the front porch were so adorable, and the two chairs next to the fire pit were such a nice touch - I wish I hadn’t lugged our camp chair! On top of that, the campground itself - although small - had so much charm. From little wooden mushrooms dotting the beds to squirrel and deer feeders to an old school Pepsi machine to little nods to Knoebels — it was just absolutely perfect. I walked around taking pictures which I’ll share with you (although I regret not taking of the interior of the cabin, which was ALSO decorated with Knoebels signs! So cool!) The foliage and trees were perfect and make this little gem so secluded and tucked away — although it is just STEPS from Knoebels. We walked the little path several times, and it was perfect. You enter right into Kiddieland.I’m still in shock I landed a Friday night (of a holiday weekend!) because I know they book up very far in advance. Absolutely no doubt in my mind we will be back. It was our first visit here AND Knoebels and it was an awesome time. I HIGHLY recommend!PS: Jessica, who handles the communication/bookings, is a doll. She was so prompt, able to easily accommodate an early book in and answered all of my MANY questions. Huge props to her!Looking forward to visiting again! Thank you!
Memory Lane is my absolute favorite place to stay outside of the Knoebels campground. The cottage is incredibly well decorated, and the cabins are a great option for smaller families and singles. The customer service and attention to detail is impeccable.
We absolutely love it here!! So comforting and healing absolutely perfect we will be back many times
If you are looking for a great place to stay, look no further! Brady and his team are fantastic. The cabins are beautiful and are spotless. This is by far my choice for lodging near Knoebels.
