When considering which campground in Central Pennsylvania is worth choosing, Moore's Campground stands out because of its exceptional longevity and the loyalty of its visitors. Many campers have been returning to this specific location since the late 1980s, which speaks volumes about the consistency and quality of the management. It is rare to find a place where the staff and the regular guests work together to create such an inviting atmosphere. If you value a campground that feels like a community, where your children can run safely on a playground and where holiday traditions are celebrated with gusto, this is the place for you.

Furthermore, the physical space at Moore's is a significant draw. Unlike many crowded commercial campgrounds where sites are packed tightly together, Moore's is noted for having large campsites. This extra space allows for a more relaxed atmosphere where you don't feel like you are on top of your neighbors. The addition of new playground items and the maintenance of kid-friendly hiking trails show a commitment to the next generation of campers. Finally, the "all are welcome" philosophy of the campground makes it an ideal choice for newcomers to the hobby. Whether you are a seasoned RVer or a first-time tent camper, the inclusive nature of the events—from the Fourth of July live bands to the communal Thanksgiving dinner in November—ensures that you will feel right at home. The blend of natural beauty, ample play space for children, and a calendar full of excitement makes Moore's Campground a standout destination that truly represents the best of Pennsylvania's local outdoor culture.

Don't listen to Angie Greens 1 star review from 4 year's ago. She fails to tell the whole/true story. I've been camping here since 1988, it's a great family oriented friendly campground. My children loved it growing up and, now my grandchildren are loving it.

Been camping here for the last six years, this place is amazing and gets better every year. The last two summer's, we've had a huge party on the fourth with live bands and a big fireworks display. There's a huge party for Halloween as well with live music. Christmas in July party, Campsgiving party in November, all our welcome. Several playground items were added this year, plenty of space for kids, campsites are large. Best campground around.
