For those looking to experience the authentic beauty of the Green Mountain State, Quechee / Pine Valley Campground stands as a premier destination for local families and visiting travelers alike. Nestled in the heart of the Upper Valley at White River Junction, Vermont, this privately owned facility has built a reputation for providing a meticulously maintained camping experience. Whether you are looking for a weekend retreat from the city or a long-term home base for exploring the region’s natural wonders, the campground offers a welcoming atmosphere that combines rustic charm with modern convenience. The property is characterized by its lush, wooded landscape and a commitment to cleanliness that sets it apart from typical commercial sites.

As a local staple in the community, the campground has recently transitioned from its previous franchise status to become a fully independent, family-run operation. This change has allowed the owners to focus on personalized service and the high standards that Vermont residents expect. From the beautifully decorated grounds during the autumn foliage season to the meticulously manicured sites, every detail is handled with care. The facility caters to a wide variety of camping styles, ranging from traditional tenting under the stars to luxury glamping in climate-controlled lodges. Its reputation as one of the cleanest and most organized campgrounds in New England makes it a top choice for those who value quality and a quiet, respectful camping environment.

The location and accessibility of Quechee / Pine Valley Campground make it an ideal hub for exploring Central Vermont and the surrounding areas. Situated at 3700 Woodstock Road, the park is just a short drive from the famous Quechee Gorge, often referred to as "Vermont's Little Grand Canyon." Its proximity to the intersection of I-89 and I-91 makes it easily accessible for Vermont locals traveling from Burlington, Montpelier, or the southern parts of the state. Despite its convenient access to major roadways, the campground is tucked away in a peaceful wooded setting that buffers most of the highway noise, ensuring a tranquil stay. The facility also prioritizes inclusivity, offering wheelchair-accessible entrances, parking, and restroom facilities to ensure every guest can enjoy the great outdoors without barriers.

The services offered at the campground are designed to provide a "home away from home" experience. The staff is well-known for their friendly demeanor and helpfulness, often providing personal escorts to campsites to assist with setup. For RV travelers, the park is "Big Rig Friendly" with level gravel pads and a variety of hookup options. The on-site general store is a convenient resource for essentials, firewood, and local Vermont products, reducing the need for frequent trips into town. Additionally, the park provides valet-style garbage and recycling pickup directly from your site, maintaining the pristine condition of the grounds throughout your stay.

  • Full-service RV camping with 30 and 50-amp electric hookups and water.
  • Dedicated tent camping sites for a traditional outdoor experience.

You can reach the main office for reservations or inquiries by calling (802) 296-6711. Given the popularity of the site, particularly during the peak foliage season and holidays, it is highly recommended to call in advance to secure your preferred site. The friendly staff is always available to answer questions about specific site dimensions, pet policies, or local attractions to help you plan the perfect itinerary.

When deciding where to stay in the Upper Valley, Quechee / Pine Valley Campground is worth choosing for its rare combination of professional management and heartfelt hospitality. Unlike many larger corporate parks, the focus here is on the quality of the guest experience rather than the quantity of sites. The meticulous maintenance of the gravel roads and sites ensures a clean environment regardless of the weather. Furthermore, the variety of lodging—from basic tent sites to high-end lodges with all the comforts of home—means that there is a price point and comfort level for everyone. Choosing this campground means supporting a local business that takes immense pride in showcasing the best of Vermont’s natural beauty and community spirit.

Just for the record this is no longer a KOA franchise campground. This is privately owned and overall a very nice place to stay. The roads are a mix of asphalt and gravel and all the sites are gravel. Overall the sites are pretty level and spacious and size for a commercial campground. Although some of them, the ones you have to back into, can be a little tight to get into. It can definitely be a trailer maneuvering learning experience. Anyway they have a pool in season, a pretty nice camp store, a dog park, nature trail, fishing pond (small) and a great playground for kids. There are two comfort stations with restrooms and showers; one down on the level, and one up on the hill.

One of the nicest and cleanest campgrounds I've ever stayed at. The staff was friendly and polite. The groundskeepers are always going around to make sure the campsites are clean and organized. The entire campground was decorated for halloween loved that. Will be back for another visit in the future.

I've stayed in multiple campgrounds in at least 30 of the states in the US. This is by far the BEST. It's the first time I've seen truly accessible showers that included the toilet as well. Everything was clean and well kept. Staff was amazing. Location was excellent. Would highly recommend other campgrounds to follow their lead. Thanks for a wonderful stay June 2025!
