Ridgway Mills Campsites is worth choosing for its unbeatable location and its role as a perfect "basecamp" for regional exploration. While many state park campgrounds in the area are tucked deep into the forest, Ridgway Mills offers the unique advantage of being walkable to town. This means you can spend your morning kayaking the Clarion River and your afternoon enjoying a craft beer or a meal at a local Ridgway restaurant without ever needing to unhook your RV or drive long distances.
Furthermore, the campground offers excellent value for the price, especially considering the riverfront views and the proximity to the Clarion-Little Toby Rail Trail. The sites are well-maintained and spacious, providing more breathing room than many commercial RV parks. Whether you are a local Pennsylvania resident looking for a quick weekend getaway or a traveler exploring the Elk Country visitor center just 20 miles away, Ridgway Mills provides a clean, safe, and scenic environment. Its blend of modern convenience and rustic charm makes it one of the most practical and enjoyable places to stay in Elk County. Haven’t had the privilege of camping here yet but seeing as it’s a nice use of land that hasn’t had much use for years I’m going with a good review! Nice new campground area that is in our beautiful rustic and rural town! Looking forward to seeing more people start utilizing its river front beauty.
Very nice location along river for tent camping with easy access to launch canoe/kayaks. Only 4 stars due to price vs limited ammenities provided. That being said, I was happy with the night camping and would utilize this campground again.
Was here for the Carving Rendezvous lots of very skilled carvers here. As for regular camping unless you have an RV it would be a no go for me
We stayed 6 nights here and it was awesome. You felt like you were out camping in nature, had a great view of the river, and were still close town. Great place to stay while visiting family. This was our first time truly boondocking. They provided potable water onsite, and the cleanest dump station we have ever seen. Nice little campground. We are hoping they do get electric in the future.
What a great visit to my hometown. The campsite was beautiful. There is water available but not at sites and you can dump up the hill at the waste water plant. The plant operator was so kind and helpful! He was super knowledgeable, as my husband runs utilities, they had a great chat. The campsite was on the river with deer and geese around. The rail to trail was a relaxing bike ride and we rode bikes all over town. The coffee shop, brewery, Joeys bakery and shops were all very nice! Ridgway does a awesome job of keeping the town like something from a postcard! If you want to really experience a small town and you like to camping… Ridgway Mills Campground is the place for you.
