Choosing Rosemount Camping Resort means opting for an experience that prioritizes community and classic Pennsylvania hospitality. One of the primary reasons to choose this location is the balance of seclusion and accessibility; you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, yet you are only 15 minutes away from a Walmart or a local hospital. The resort is particularly well-suited for social campers who enjoy a relaxed, "lax-on-rules" atmosphere where adults can unwind and enjoy a festive weekend environment. The dedication of the seasonal campers to keeping the spirit of the park alive through volunteer-led events and friendly interactions makes it stand out from more corporate, rigid RV parks. Let me just say that my recent stay was something to experience. Apparently this place is having major water issues which the owners don’t seem to want to address, the maintenance team was constantly going around to fill people’s tanks (kudos to them, I’m sure they were working way past when then normally would). The water issues also leads to no water in the bath houses. I asked someone if there was a general manager on site, the response was that she hasn’t been seen in a couple months, so good luck if you want to talk to them in person. On a good note…the office staff was great! But, the seasonal campers that I came across were amazing, trying to be helpful where they could, and the work they put in to help make events and activities possible was top notch! While the people there would make me want to return, I will definitely be asking questions to see if they’re having issues before booking again.
Adults looking for a very relaxed atmosphere, this might be a great place for you. People gather at a central fireplace at night, drink tons of beer, and laughing and occasional curse words can be heard. Every Sat at 10:30 p.m. they line up in their go-carts and have a "parade" where they beep and yell and drive through the camp (many seem drunk). If you're looking for a party place that is lax on rules, this is a good fit. I honestly didn't mind any of that, as I'm all for adults blowing off steam on the weekends, but gave 3 stars because there is little there to do during the day for kids or teens. According to husband and son, men's bathroom smelled perpetually awful (like something died) and toilets didn't always flush. Women's was fine! Check-in was easy and the lady working the desk was nice.
Awesome place to camp. They have some neat activities during the weekends, also on holidays. Very friendly staff. They have a pool, a game room, a basketball court and a Pond for fishing. You may camp in a tent, your own trailer or even in any of the Available cabins.!
My family and I have been seasonal campers at Rosemount since the 1970s. The original owners were fantastic people and really knew how to keep the campground family oriented. Over the past 8-9 years, the campground has changed hands several times. Unfortunately they had some very unprofessional people own the place for a few years. As of 2023, this place has really improved. It's almost like the old Rosemount that we all fell in love with. These new owners and thier management team have been incredible. They keep the park clean, they provide tons of activities for the kids and adults. From family game nights, bingo, cookouts, fishing, karaoke, arts and crafts, live bands and everything in between. The campers there are always welcoming and willing to lend a hand with what you may need. I definitely recommend staying for a weekend and seeing all the improvements they've made. Thier cabins are very spacious and can comfortably fit your family. 10 out of 10.
My 1st time here. Not a bad place. Bath house is very clean. I payed for full hookup and they shut the water off for the whole place. Water pressure to site was just a trickle from the shower in my RV
