Sun Retreats Rehoboth Bay Introduce
For residents across the Delaware region, the call of the coast is a constant draw, but finding a retreat that offers both seclusion and top-tier amenities can be a challenge. Sun Retreats Rehoboth Bay, formerly recognized by many locals as Leisure Point, stands as a premier destination for those who want to immerse themselves in the "Slower Lower" lifestyle. Located in the Long Neck area of Millsboro, this expansive RV park and resort community is specifically designed for those who view camping not just as a weekend hobby, but as a lifestyle. Whether you are looking for a seasonal spot to park your rig for the summer or considering a more permanent move into their manufactured housing section, the park provides a polished, well-maintained environment right on the water.
What sets Sun Retreats Rehoboth Bay apart from standard campgrounds is its deep integration with the local maritime culture. The atmosphere here is defined by a sense of community and shared passion for the Delaware Inland Bays. From the meticulously groomed grounds to the active social calendar, the resort feels like a small village where neighbors quickly become friends. The management team is frequently praised by long-term residents for their responsiveness and friendly demeanor, ensuring that the park remains a beautiful and safe sanctuary for families and retirees alike. It is a place where you can spend your mornings on the bay and your afternoons relaxing in a community that values both hospitality and the natural beauty of the shoreline.
The location of Sun Retreats Rehoboth Bay is one of its most compelling features for Delawareans. Nestled at 25491 Dogwood Ln, Millsboro, DE 19966, the park is tucked away in the Long Neck peninsula, effectively shielding it from the heavy congestion of the main beach highways while remaining just a short drive from the action. For local travelers coming from Dover or Wilmington, the park is easily accessible via Route 1 and Route 24, providing a straightforward route to a waterfront paradise. Its position on a tributary of the Rehoboth Bay ensures that guests have direct water access without the intense wind and salt spray often found at oceanfront sites.
Accessibility is a high priority at the resort, which features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot to accommodate all guests. Once inside, the park’s layout is designed for ease of movement, whether you are driving a large motorhome or navigating the paths on a golf cart—a favorite mode of transportation for residents. The inclusion of wheelchair-accessible restrooms further demonstrates the park's commitment to inclusivity. For those who enjoy the broader region, the resort’s location serves as a perfect hub; you are only minutes away from the shopping outlets in Rehoboth, the historic charm of Lewes, and the pristine dunes of Cape Henlopen State Park.

Customer Reviews
After spending time with my family here for 20 years, we finally decided to buy a camper in the seasonal section of Leisure Point/Sun Retreats Rehoboth Bay. We love it so much that we had the camper for less than a year and bought a house in the permanent section. Pattie and her staff have been absolutely fantastic throughout the time we’ve been here. They are always friendly and very responsive. The park is always beautiful and well-maintained. Leisure Point is absolutely perfect for us!
I have been here for a few years and feel like I have experienced enough to give a helpful review. My wife and I are new to this style of camping and were surprised by how friendly and helpful the other residents are. Multiple times, someone has seen me struggling with something on my site and stopped to offer advice or a helping hand. Any time I have a question for management or need assistance, Pattie has been patient and wonderful to work with, even taking the time to help me with a minor emergency on her day off. Laurie has been a pleasure as I navigate my first season with a boat. Doug and Ched on the security staff have been a blast to get to know and do a great job preventing any trouble year-round. The maintenance/grounds team has exceeded all of my expectations and the park always looks excellent. Overall, I couldn't be more impressed with my time here and truly appreciate the hard work of everyone on staff who make this the perfect place to relax and enjoy my time off.
Campground was very nice and clean. Beautiful pool and pleasant staff. Rental was nice and very clean, but a lot smaller than we expected. Mostly the bedroom space was tiny. We had 4 adults and 2 small children. Weather was beautiful. Not too hot, but during the day the AC could not keep up. We had all the doors, windows and curtains closed and it didn't seem to help. Overall we would stay here again, but maybe a newer unit, bigger or just 1 family per unit.
Second year - increased lot rent $400. + need to pay extra this year for a gate card to enter the property- new from last year(current site holders should be grandfathered no?). I have to pay to get to my propert I already paid for! 🙄Wi-Fi is terrible when mentioned I was told to upgrade the service and yet again pay more for a service I already paid for. Some issues with community theft. Cameras are only being put in common areas not where the problem is happening. Told everyone to get there own cameras by management with will only further drain a failing rofo system. With paying over $1000 a month for the season the nickel and dime GREED of ownership is ridiculous no wonder they are touting $14billion+ in profits. Price gauging!!! They did report a 13% loss but that could be explained numerous ways including the loss as their benefit.Beach location with open lots what does that say?!
We have been here 8 years and love it. Sun is very clean and one of the most beautiful campgrounds. It is a great place to keep a boat. The pool and grounds are beautiful. The store is well stocked and reasonably priced.
