The campground is situated in a region known for its rolling hills and rich history. From the perspective of a local visitor, the atmosphere captures the essence of Upstate New York charm. The property is well-maintained and provides a sense of seclusion, yet it remains close enough to the city of Oneonta to ensure that guests are never far from local dining, shopping, and entertainment. Many visitors choose this location specifically for its proximity to world-class sports facilities, making it a popular choice during the busy summer tournament season.
Location and accessibility are among the primary advantages of staying at Susquehanna Trail Campground. It is strategically positioned at 4292 NY-7, Oneonta, NY 13820, USA. The campground is designed to be inclusive and easy to navigate. The on-site parking is spacious, and the layout of the park allows for easy maneuvering of larger rigs, which is a common concern for RV owners. While there are nearby train tracks that reflect the industrial heritage of the region, most visitors find the occasional rumble of a passing train to be a minor part of the rural experience that does not detract from the overall peace of the area.

When considering which campground to choose in the Oneonta and Cooperstown area, Susquehanna Trail Campground is worth choosing for several compelling reasons. First and foremost is the balance of "quiet" and "convenient." While many campgrounds in the area can feel crowded or hectic during peak season, this park maintains a calmer, more relaxed vibe that many travelers appreciate. It is far enough from the main town center to avoid the noise but close enough that a trip to the supermarket or a local restaurant like Brooks’ House of BBQ takes only a few minutes.
Additionally, the value provided by the full hookup sites is hard to beat. Having water, sewer, and electric all in one place makes for a stress-free experience, allowing you to focus on your vacation rather than the mechanics of your RV. The fact that the manager is consistently described as fantastic and attentive adds a layer of security and hospitality that can make or break a trip. For families visiting the Cooperstown All Star Village, the location is unbeatable, offering a short commute that saves time and gas. Choosing Susquehanna Trail Campground means choosing a reliable, friendly, and well-positioned home away from home in the heart of New York's beautiful Leatherstocking Region.

Property well kept. Manager was fantastic and attentive. Full hook up sites worked out well. Level and clear. Would return for a quiet couple of nights. Easy reservations, check in and out. Close enough to all the action in “town”, but quieter than other sites in the area.
What a pretty little campground! So easy to get to off of I-88 too and peaceful. It's a little "tired" but we've got our own bathroom in our camper and didn't need much. It has full hookups so that was helpful. Didn't realize that the train tracks were on the opposite side of the road so that was a big rumbling surprise during the night! But no problem really. We recommend!
What a great location! Beautiful views. Our campsite was large with big oak trees. The owner met us when we pulled in and lead us to the campsite. Absolutely perfect in every way. Very close to Cooperstown. We will come back next time we are in this area.
Super quiet, easy to find. All the amenities were still closed for the season, but the campground has a very old school vibe that we just loved. Our site had both 50 and 30 amp power, water and even a sewer connection. I had plenty of room for my 40' fifth wheel and truck. There were trees on half the campground that will provide plenty of shade when the foilage comes in. They also have the best pizza place nearby that will deliver to the campground.... Dante's PIzzaria.
Clean, well established, easy access and quiet. Great campground!
