⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Absolutely Amazing Stay at Timber Run Campground! We had an incredible experience at Timber Run Campground in Saxton, PA! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and right at home. The grounds are clean, well-maintained, and perfectly nestled in a peaceful, wooded setting — ideal for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature. The campsites are spacious and private, and the hookups worked flawlessly. We especially loved the beautiful walking trails and the nearby stream — it’s the perfect spot for relaxing by the water or letting the kids explore safely. The bathhouses were spotless, and the camp store was stocked with all the essentials we needed (and a few treats too!).Whether you’re in a tent, RV, or looking to rent a cabin, Timber Run has something for everyone. We’ll definitely be back — this is a hidden gem in the heart of central PA. Highly recommend!
Stayed at this campground this past weekend August 2025. That camp ground was well kept and the people around were friendly. My wife said the store and pool area as nice and tidy, and the services were greatThe cons really comes down to the kids. We brought our neice and nephew came along with our parents. The kids had a blast on the bounce pad and pool. However beware, there are apparently kids that live there and are apparently bullies. Relentlessly harrased my neice and nephew calling them fat and ugly. Was apparently a girl and a boy. My nephew had to call my parents because they kids said they were related to the "camp ground police" and the were going to throw us out. Including a bunch of body slam threats and what not. I understand kids will be kids. I've been camping since my parents took us and I have never had a "camp ground bully". My neice and nephew did a few friends there that said they had issues with the same kids and they were also bullying them aswell. So parents beware. It's a great place to camp, but the kids that live there may make problems for your kids. Which is really what all this is about.
If you are looking for a clean, beyond friendly & welcoming with amazing views THIS is a campground you do NOT want to miss!!! The owners are beyond hospitable and want to make your stay as perfect as possible AND they do!!! We stayed in sites 22 & 23 and they had patios with fabulous fire pits and propane grills. The landscaping (natural & planted) is stunning. The store is well packed and they make items there (I got a beautiful appliqué hoodie). We traveled from Baltimore, MD and 83 was a bear BUT so worth it!!! Already booked for next June andplanning a fall trip this year to repeat!
