Timeless Trails Camping and Cabins Introduce
For those living in or traveling through the ruggedly beautiful landscapes of Western Pennsylvania, finding a sanctuary that truly lives up to its name can be a transformative experience. Timeless Trails Camping and Cabins, situated in the peaceful community of Summerville, offers exactly that—a place where the clock slows down and the natural world takes center stage. Spanning 95 acres of private, wooded land in Clarion County, this campground is a multi-generational legacy now managed by George and Kristine Cochran. It serves as a premier destination for local Pennsylvanians who want to trade the digital hum of daily life for the crackle of a campfire and the rustle of the wind through the hemlocks.
The atmosphere at Timeless Trails is one of authentic connection and rustic charm. Unlike highly commercialized RV resorts, this park emphasizes the "unplugged" experience, encouraging guests to explore the abundant wildlife and deep forests that define the PA Great Outdoors region. Whether you are visiting in the heart of a snowy February or during the lush, green peak of July, the park maintains a welcoming, family-oriented environment. From the perspective of a local user, it is a hidden gem that offers both the solitude of a backcountry retreat and the security of a well-managed community where the owners treat every guest like extended family.
Location and accessibility are key components of the Timeless Trails experience. Located at 226 Upper Drive in Summerville, PA, the campground is tucked away off the historic Olean Trail, a path once used by numerous Native American tribes. While the final approach involves "side roads" that can be bumpy and characteristic of rural Pennsylvania terrain, they are well-traveled and regularly maintained. During the winter months, the management goes above and beyond to ensure accessibility, providing plowing for pull-thru spaces and applying anti-slip materials for safety. The park is strategically located just 15 minutes from the borough of Brookville, providing easy access to various local restaurants, grocery stores, and the historic charm of Jefferson County.
Timeless Trails Camping and Cabins offers a comprehensive range of services designed to accommodate everyone from the rugged tent camper to the modern RVer. The services offered include:
- Full hookup RV sites including water, sewer, and 30/50-amp electrical service.
- Spacious pull-thru sites designed for easy navigation of larger rigs.
- Primitive tent camping sites for those seeking a more traditional outdoor experience.
- Fully furnished cabin rentals ranging from the cozy Bear Cabin to the expansive Main Cabin.
- Year-round camping availability, making it one of the few local spots for winter RVing.
- A well-maintained bathhouse facility with hot showers and clean restrooms.
- A central picnic pavilion and community fire pit for group gatherings and events.
- Professional on-site management with dedicated office hours throughout the week.
The features and highlights of the 95-acre estate are what truly set it apart for nature lovers and families. The property is designed to be an exploratory playground where the boundary between the campground and the wild is beautifully blurred. The features and highlights include:
- Miles of private hiking and biking trails that wind through dense woods and scenic ridges.
- An on-site pond perfect for fishing or enjoying a quiet moment on a paddleboat.
- A fenced-in yard at the Main Cabin, making it a premier choice for pet owners.
- A kid-friendly playground and "jungle gyms" that provide hours of entertainment for younger campers.
- Abundant wildlife viewing opportunities, including frequent sightings of white-tailed deer and native birds.
- A basketball hoop and recreational areas for active families and sports enthusiasts.
- Strictly enforced quiet hours from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM to ensure a peaceful night for all guests.

What is worth choosing when it comes to Timeless Trails? For the local Pennsylvania resident, it is the combination of flexibility and hospitality. Choosing this campground is worth it specifically for those who want a year-round destination; the fact that they remain open and accessible during the winter—even providing extra care to plow sites for cold-weather travelers—is a rarity in the region. It is also worth choosing for pet owners, as the "dog-friendly" atmosphere and the fenced-in areas at the cabins mean your four-legged family members can enjoy the vacation just as much as you do.
Furthermore, Timeless Trails is a factual, high-value choice for families who want to experience the "PA Wilds" without the crowds found at larger state parks. With competitive nightly rates and the added value of being just a short drive from the amenities of Brookville, it offers a balanced experience of seclusion and convenience. Whether you are staying in the Main Cabin for an anniversary or pulling in your RV for a week of trail riding and stargazing, Timeless Trails provides an authentic, grounded environment that honors the best traditions of Pennsylvania camping. It is a place where "family fun and laughter is measured in campfires," making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a true home away from home.
Ultimately, a stay at Timeless Trails is about more than just finding a place to sleep; it is about reclaiming a piece of yourself that the daily grind can wear away. If you value silence, well-maintained facilities, and a community that treats you like family, this Summerville retreat is undoubtedly the right choice for your next Pennsylvania adventure.

I feel very fortunate to have found this RV Park in February! The owner went out of his way to plow a "pull thru" space for me and put down anti-slip material so I could safely get to the bathhouse! I saw other reviews about the rough roads getting there, and they were bumpy, but still well traveled and plowed for "side roads". Brookville was only 15 minutes away with lots of food options. I highly recommend this Park! Apparently in the warm season there are miles and miles of trails and woods to explore!
We recently visited Dubai and had a great time due to timeless trails travel company. The staff was very helpful and recommended the best attractions. We had an awesome time with the desert safari experience. It was my anniversary and i was pleasantly surprised with the arrangements they had done to celebrate. Thankyou Kavindu and team for making our stay memorable. Highly recommended.
We only stayed one night and couldn’t wait to get out. The drive from I-80 was a pretty bumpy ride. When we drove in to the campground we hit a power line, luckily my husband saw it and was able to back up. The campground does have an area that’s nice with a pond and a couple cabins, but we were not put in that area even though there were spaces open. Instead, we were assigned to the top of the park where it’s not so nice. Good thing we have a powerful truck (1 ton diesel) Had more power lines that were cutting it very close. We hit a branch backing into our sight. We were put next to some long term/full timers (majority of camp is full timers) who had three pit bulls and five other dogs. The pit bulls were in crates when outside but needless to say we were pretty uncomfortable letting our dog out or going for a walk. We made sure not to walk past the dogs. When I asked the owner of the park about the dogs and if they’re safe he shrugged his shoulder and suggested we park our vehicle in such a way that the dogs can’t see our dog.. The only reason we are giving 2 stars is because they have full hookup’s, other than that it’s a pretty shabby place. One we will not return to.
