For those who value comfort, the waterfront cottages—particularly those with rooftop sun decks—offer unparalleled views of the bay, where you can watch dolphins and seafaring vessels from your private balcony. Overall location was nice. However it lacked trees and vegetation separating rv sites. Place had a bit of a "barren hardscrabble" look to it. Also there are several non scenic sites adjacent to the marina. I booked one of these, thinking that I'd be looking out onto the water and boats. NO! There were lobster/crap traps piled high against the fence line. And if it wasn't for the prevailing winds, I'm sure the smell and flies would have made this a less enjoyable stay. Beware! Ask before you book. There were several other sections with much better views.Everything was nice and clean. Bathroom facilities were fully functional and spotless. I would have liked a central location for garbage and recycling. They do a bag it and leave it at the top of your site for pickup process. Good, but the seagulls beat them to the punch more than once.Convenience store was nice, but on the day we went looking for it, they had no milk, none. They should keep some shelf stable milk on hand.My only other issue, and this was noticed by other campers was the nickel and diming at the service area. A lot of places have free coffee early in the day 7-9am. Not this place. Want a little ice for your insulated mug, $.50. Really!? Like I said, it wasn't just us who noticed this. Overall a nice stay, but not remarkable.

FANTASTIC!!!!We usually camp… But this year would take 86 year-old mother back to Chincoteague. I wanted to do something a little less stressful than dragging a camper to Tom’s Cove And making sleeping arrangements.Less stress indeed!!! We had four adults and one dog right on the bay and the promenade was perfect for walking the dog twice a day. We did rent a golf cart from island Cruisers At Tom’s Cove, just to get that island experience. The cabin was clean the rooms were spacious enough and functional. To get up in the morning and to watch the traffic on the bay was absolutely divine! We felt safe and alone among the many cabins that was around us. It was a wonderful experience and I’m making plans to come back in 2026.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chincoteague Bay RV Resort & Cottages! 🌅 The sunsets, the people, and the location made this a fantastic experience. We stayed on a water-view back-in RV site and loved it, but next time I’ll definitely book a waterfront site, those are where it’s at!I can only speak to the RV sites (not the tents or cottages), but ours was quiet and relaxing even though it was next to the bathhouse. Not having trees for shade wasn’t an issue for us. The pool was a nice size, and the best part I think is being able to rent a golf or bring your registered golf cart, and explore the town.If you’re looking for a ton of activities for your little kids besides the pools, the playground and fishing, you won’t find it at this particularly resort but the town holds a lot of fun if they want more.If I could change one thing, I’d love to see a little sandy beach area to dip your toes in, but otherwise it was a wonderful stay. Can’t wait to come back!

Our family of 4 had such a great time! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the property was gorgeous and the water front cottage was roomy and clean. Plenty of storage space. We never felt crammed or uncomfortable. The campsite was close to town and we didn’t have to drive far to get to any activities (water park, putt putt, dinner.) We will definitely be back next year.

This campground is amazing. We stayed in one of the glamping tents and we were blown away by the quality and amenities that came with it. It was spacious and the queen bed was SUPER comfy. It came with everything you need for camping - sheets, pillows, bath towels, kitchen stuff, small fridge, etc. A couple cons were that you couldn’t park by your site, so highly recommend getting a golf cart to lug your items to your site and the hot water doesn’t last long, so keep your showers short! It’s not a far walk, but they do have small carts as well. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper! We had a couple issues with our site and the maintenance people were on it.The campground itself is pretty small, but the pool was great and you can catch some crabs off the dock. The playground was cute and the food truck had really good burgers! You can’t swim in the water and there is no beach area which was kind of a bummer for us. There is a lot to do when you go into town and you can venture to the oceanside which is about a 15-20 min drive. The views were absolutely incredible and the staff were super friendly. We’ll be back!
