We just stayed Halloween Weekend. We arrived after hours and had a little trouble getting into our cabin at first, but the lady running the Maui Jacks Haunted Trail was super helpful and told us where to find our check in packet. This was my first trip to Chincoteague other than chaperoning a field trip when my son was younger. It’s an absolutely beautiful place with so much to do for kids and adults. The Deluxe Cabin was perfect for us. Our hot water and microwave didn’t work at first, but maintenance came by quickly and resolved the issue (breaker switch). My daughter was able to safely ride her bike in front of our cabin. We plan to stay 2-3 times per year. We’re already booked for April. Activities Center was fun for my daughter as well as the Hay Ride. We enjoyed the beautiful views and how close the trails and beaches are to the campground. Great location, we absolutely loved it. See you all soon!!
We had a great weekend! The property was clean and well maintained. We had a blast riding around on the golf cart and trick or treating. The jumping pillow was a huge hit and my only complaint was that it was usually late in the morning before they inflated it. There was a huge pile of kids waiting at the gate to jump every day! We will definitely be back.
We love Jellystone Park on Chincoteague Island. We come every year. The sites are a nice size. Dogs have a lot of room to walk. Close to town, the beach, and the national park. The staff are very accommodating, and they even sell alcohol in the gift shop. It is a fantastic place. Beach in the morning and lazy river with a frozen drink at the water park. So much fun, even for adults.
Spectacular experience from check in to check out. We will be back. Super fun for singles, couples, or families. A great variety of options to visit. An abundant amount of beautiful views from the bay to beaches, crabs to ponies, or pool to water park. Great location. Great bath houses that are super clean. Great amount of activities to keep the kiddos entertained from outside to inside at the activities center. I truly enjoyed myself here, and I can't wait to return next year.
Booked a yurt and the pricing was unclear. Got there and its obvious that they want to maximize space to make money at your expense. We have stayed here multiple times in the past and it was quite nice. However, this time the campground was overfull and crowded. So much so that our Yurt was next to the bath house and the septic system to that bath house was at capacity. Raw sewage running past our camp and then had to listen to the "honey wagon" come and pump it out 3-4 times a day. We complained to management and had a simple "we are aware of it" reply.
