Coyote Hollow Park Introduce

For those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, Coyote Hollow Park offers a serene and eco-friendly retreat in the heart of Upstate New York. Nestled on 40 acres of picturesque mountain land in Mt Vision, this destination is much more than a traditional campground. It is a carefully curated outdoor experience that combines the rugged beauty of nature with the comforts of modern glamping. Whether you are a local New Yorker seeking a weekend getaway or a visitor exploring the historic Cooperstown region, this park provides a unique opportunity to disconnect and recharge in a peaceful, welcoming environment.

Coyote Hollow Park prides itself on being an inclusive and diverse destination. As a business that identifies as Black-owned, LGBTQ+ owned, and women-owned, it fosters an atmosphere of safety and belonging for all guests. The park is recognized as a transgender safespace and an LGBTQ+ friendly environment, making it a preferred choice for travelers who value community and progressive hospitality. From the tranquil forest surroundings to the warm welcome from the hosts, every detail is designed to ensure that your stay is as relaxing and inclusive as possible.

Location and accessibility are key components of the Coyote Hollow Park experience. Situated on S Welcome Rd in Mt Vision, NY, the park is strategically located just a short drive from major regional attractions. Guests are only about 20 minutes away from the vibrant cities of Cooperstown and Oneonta. This makes it an ideal home base for those visiting the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown Dreams Park, or the various breweries and wineries that define the Otsego County landscape. Despite its proximity to these popular hubs, the park itself remains a secluded haven, offering the quietude of a mountain forest.

For those traveling by car, the park offers convenient on-site parking and a free parking lot for guests. While the rugged mountain terrain provides a genuine "off-the-grid" feel, the location remains accessible for standard vehicles. The park is also situated just over a mile from Gilbert Lake State Park, allowing guests to easily extend their outdoor adventures to include lake-side activities and more extensive trail systems. This balance of seclusion and accessibility ensures that you can enjoy the stars at night while remaining close to modern conveniences during the day.

The services offered at Coyote Hollow Park are designed to provide a "camp-in" experience where most of the hard work of camping is handled for you. From tent rentals to curated meal options, the goal is to allow guests to enjoy the outdoors without the stress of heavy packing or complex setup. The onsite services reflect a commitment to guest comfort and a high-quality glamping standard.

  • Professional tent rentals including spacious canvas tents pre-set for your arrival.
  • Complimentary continental breakfast provided to fuel your morning adventures.

The features and highlights of Coyote Hollow Park set it apart from standard campgrounds. One of the most sought-after amenities is the signature soaking tubs. These luxurious tubs offer a unique way to unwind while taking in the forest views, providing a rejuvenating experience that is rarely found in outdoor settings. The park's 40 acres also feature a variety of natural highlights, from wild berry bushes to a tranquil backyard forest that invites exploration.

  • Private soaking tubs available for guests to relax and soak under the stars.
  • Extensive hiking trails within the property’s 40-acre "backyard forest."
  • Family-friendly campsites with dedicated spaces for kids and groups.
  • Gender-neutral restrooms and well-maintained picnic tables at each site.

What a beautiful place and a warm welcome by the hosts. My detailed review is on HipCamp but here for the photos. Even though our stay was met with a couple of rainy days we still enjoyed all the amenities and walk around the backyard forest. Couldn’t have asked for more.

From the moment we arrived at property Christine was a GEM. Very welcoming on welcome rd. Our yurk was absolutely amazing. 2 twin comfy beds. Headed blankets. Fridge, solar, everything you need to cook open fire. She had us set up. Out door showers and 2 soaking tubs with unlimited hot water while relaxing by the fire. Incredible under the stars. She accommodated us 5 with a nature trail hike, which was so great. Christopher loved the orange lizzard he had found. Dinner and breakfast prepared on open fire. Not to mention the grand buffet breakfast Christine had prepared for us at the welcome center. This was the most relaxing family get together. Thank you we all had a blast. We literally needed nothing, cloths and food. Everything else was provided by coyote hollow. Definitely worth the visit. And we can not wait to come back.
