Joe's Hideaway Llc Introduce
For New Hampshire residents looking to escape the hustle of daily life, Joe's Hideaway LLC offers a unique and serene sanctuary nestled in the scenic backwoods of Washington. Spanning over 52 acres of lush forest and rolling terrain, this campground is designed specifically for those who value privacy, nature, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Unlike larger, more commercialized parks, Joe's Hideaway provides a "hidden" feel—living up to its name—where the primary focus is on relaxation and enjoying the pristine Granite State outdoors. As a privately owned and operated facility, it prides itself on a personalized touch, where every guest is greeted as a member of a growing outdoor community.
The campground serves as a perfect home base for exploring the rural charm of Sullivan County. Whether you are a seasoned RVer or a traditional tent camper, the environment here is curated to ensure quietude and cleanliness. The property is meticulously maintained, featuring modern facilities that blend seamlessly into the wooded landscape. For locals, it represents an opportunity to experience the rugged beauty of the New Hampshire wilderness without sacrificing essential comforts. It is a place where mornings begin with the sound of birds in the canopy and evenings are spent around a crackling fire, sharing stories with fellow nature lovers under the vast, unpolluted night sky.
Location and accessibility are key components of the appeal at Joe's Hideaway LLC. Situated at 928 Valley Rd, Washington, NH 03280, USA, the campground is tucked away on a quiet rural road that emphasizes its secluded nature. While the drive offers beautiful views typical of the Monadnock region, travelers—especially those on motorcycles or driving large RV rigs—should be aware that the local road surfaces leading to the property are characteristic of rural New Hampshire and require attentive driving. Once you arrive at the gate, the layout is straightforward and easy to navigate, with on-site parking designed to keep the grounds uncluttered and peaceful.
Despite its feeling of remote isolation, the campground is surprisingly well-positioned for convenience. A short two-mile drive brings you to the Washington General Store, a local staple where campers can stock up on groceries, firewood, and even pick up a highly-regarded local pizza. This proximity ensures that while you are "hiding away," you are never truly stranded without essentials. The park is also accessible to those with mobility considerations, offering on-site parking near the main facilities and well-maintained pathways that connect the campsites to the central amenities, making it a viable option for a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts.

What makes Joe's Hideaway LLC worth choosing is the rare combination of high-end facility standards and a truly niche, community-driven atmosphere. For New Hampshire residents who identify with the gay community, this campground offers a level of comfort and belonging that is difficult to find elsewhere in the region. The commitment to maintaining a "clothing-optional" and "adults-only" environment ensures that the vibe remains mature, respectful, and relaxed. Choosing this site means you are opting for a place where you can be yourself completely, surrounded by like-minded individuals in a beautiful, well-kept forest setting.
Furthermore, the physical quality of the campground is a major draw. From the heated saltwater pool to the brand-new shower facilities, it is clear that the owners have invested heavily in the guest experience. It is worth choosing for the "best of both worlds"—the rugged, authentic feel of a New Hampshire woodsy camp, paired with the luxury of a clean pool and free hot showers. Whether you are looking for a lively weekend of themed parties and socializing or a quiet week of hiking and solo reflection, Joe's Hideaway provides the infrastructure and the heart to make your stay memorable. It is a standout choice for anyone looking to discover a new, vibrant side of the Granite State's outdoor culture.

Wonderful place. I was on a bike trip and stopped here for the night. I met with Rich at the check-in counter and we did paperwork and payment. Super easy process. The park is beautiful with new buildings, new shower house, nice clubhouse, and it was quiet. Motorcyclists be forewarned: the road surfaces aren’t SUPER fantastic for a bike, so be careful, but they are very bike friendly. I was able to park my bike on my tent site without any problems.About two miles up the street you’ll find the Washington General Store. They will have all of the essentials, and they make a hell of a good pizza. You won’t be stuck in the middle of nowhere with nothing.I can’t wait to go back!
Very nice camping well maintened. Very clean and free hot shower. Nice pool who is also very clean. My lot ( I was with a tent)was very large and they let you burn the wood you find in the wood without any issues. People are very nice and friendly the American way they all say Hi to you while you pass . It’s really not a bad thing but the camping is really small . There is a party by the pool until 11pm and you hear the music like you are in the party everywhere in the camping. The other issue about the fact that is small is if you looking to play (let’s say it that way ) there is not a lot of guys around .Most of them know already everyone in the camping and are more there to spend time between friend then to play (again let’s say it this way). If you are looking for a nice small camping you like having a party and chat with people it’s the place. You will be very well serve . If you want to be quiet and play this is probably not the place for you . To sum up I had a good experience but not a lot of play 🤪
Spent the weekend here with my husband and best friend and we loved it. The seasonal campers were so welcoming and friendly. We felt right at home as soon as we pulled up. There is a clear display of respect for people and personal space. Yet at the same time you felt welcome to join others at their camp sites for a fun hang out. Which we did. The pool side social, tractor ride to the lake and potluck was an added bonus. The camp sites are beautiful and well maintained. We had potable water, electricity, fire pit and picnic table. The owners are around working, doing maintenance, prepping for festivities and making sure everyone is having fun and feeling respected. I look forward to going back. No need to debate whether you should check this place out. It's worth it! As far as wood goes. Get it there. Was the better deal we found.
Best Gay Campground I've been to they ussaly have shows on the weekend and most sites come with a giant fire pit. Owners are always there and have treated us like faimly . Great Vibes , made tons of friends and had wild nights . For the price you can't beat this place .
it's a nice place and there's a great group of guys that stay there BUT the owner Joe is not a cool person. I think it's may be that he's really insecure so he'll try and run the place like a tyrant. I got the impression that no one really liked him. No one had anything nice to say about him. I was actually told not to make eye contact, lol. So I went to mountainside instead for my next weekend off and found it MUCH better. The owners are very cool and normal. I work too hard for my free time and can't afford to hang around unkind people;)Frank BerthiumeHappy Camper
