Lost Lands RV Park Introduce

For Delaware residents and regional travelers seeking a permanent summer sanctuary, Lost Lands RV Park in Selbyville offers a unique "where country meets the beach" experience. This exclusively seasonal RV park and campground provides a serene alternative to the high-traffic tourist areas of the coast, focusing on building a long-term community of outdoor enthusiasts. Unlike transient campgrounds that cater to nightly visitors, Lost Lands is designed for those who want a dedicated home base for the entire summer season. The park is characterized by its quiet, secluded environment, nestled among working farms and lush woodlands, yet it remains just minutes away from the vibrant energy of Fenwick Island and Ocean City.

Established in 2001, Lost Lands RV Park has earned a reputation among locals for its cleanliness, security, and friendly neighborly atmosphere. It serves as a private enclave for families and individuals who appreciate the slower pace of rural life while maintaining immediate access to the Atlantic Ocean. The park’s layout is intentionally designed to optimize privacy and space, fostering a sense of belonging that is often missing in larger, more commercial camping facilities. For many Delawareans, this park has become a multi-generational tradition, offering a reliable escape where they can reconnect with nature and a close-knit group of fellow campers.

The location and accessibility of Lost Lands RV Park are among its most appealing features. Situated at 37421 Bear Hole Rd, Selbyville, DE 19975, the park is ideally located in the southeastern corner of Sussex County. For Delaware residents, it is easily accessible via major north-south routes like US-113 and DE-1, making it a convenient drive from towns like Georgetown, Milford, or even the northern parts of the state. Despite its secluded "Bear Hole Road" address, the park is less than five miles from the Delaware-Maryland state line and the beaches of Fenwick Island. This prime location allows guests to enjoy tax-free shopping in Delaware and world-class dining in Maryland within a single afternoon.

Accessibility within the park is also a priority. The grounds feature wheelchair-accessible parking lots and level terrain that makes navigating the community center and pool areas easy for all guests. The park is insulated from the noise of the main coastal highways, ensuring that once you pull through the gates, the only sounds you hear are the rustling leaves and the local wildlife. Its proximity to the Little Assawoman Bay and various wildlife areas adds another layer of accessibility for those who enjoy boating, fishing, or birdwatching in Delaware’s unique coastal ecosystems.

The services offered at Lost Lands RV Park are comprehensive, reflecting its status as a premium seasonal-only destination. Because the park does not offer overnight or transient camping, the services are tailored to support an entire season of residency. From the moment the season opens in late April through its close in October, the management provides everything needed for a comfortable and modern outdoor lifestyle. The following services are included in the seasonal membership:

  • Individual electric meters with both 50-amp and 30-amp service, along with a 20-amp auxiliary receptacle for sheds or outdoor use.
  • Full septic and water hookups included in the seasonal site cost, ensuring a sanitary and convenient stay.
  • Comprehensive winter storage, allowing RVs to remain on-site during the off-season at no additional charge for returning members.
  • On-site boat and watercraft storage in a designated area, provided at no extra charge to accommodate Delaware’s popular water-based recreation.
  • Technical hookups including cable television and telephone readiness at most sites, allowing guests to stay connected even in a rural setting.
  • Professional landscaping and groundskeeping to maintain a neat, clean, and inviting environment throughout the season.
  • Convenient payment options, including acceptance of major credit cards and debit cards for seasonal dues.

The features and highlights of Lost Lands RV Park distinguish it as one of the most spacious and private campgrounds in the Delaware beach region. The park is designed to give campers room to breathe, with lot sizes that are significantly larger than the industry average. These features are specifically curated to enhance the sense of "home" that seasonal residents look for. Key highlights of the property include:

  • Exceptionally large campsites, with a minimum size of 2,000 square feet (averaging 50' x 40'), providing ample space for personal landscaping and outdoor living.
  • A large community pool and sundeck that serve as the social hub of the park during the warm summer months.
  • A spacious community center used for park events and gatherings, fostering a strong sense of fellowship among the "Lost Lands family."
  • Extensive nature trails that wind through the wooded beauty of the property, offering frequent sightings of deer, turkey, and other local wildlife.
  • A pet-friendly environment that allows for up to two dogs per site, ensuring your four-legged family members can enjoy the summer as well.
  • Permitted additions such as decks, sheds (up to 8'x8'), and silver-top screen rooms, allowing residents to customize their space for maximum comfort.
  • A strict 5 MPH speed limit and a gated, secluded setting that prioritizes the safety of children and the peace of the community.

For those interested in joining this exclusive seasonal community, the park maintains a waiting list for prospective new members. Because many families return year after year, it is recommended to contact the management well in advance of the spring season. You can reach the park office through the following contact details:

When considering where to invest your summer in Delaware, Lost Lands RV Park is worth choosing because it offers stability and a genuine community feel that transient parks cannot provide. For a local Delawarean, it represents the best of both worlds: the quiet, agricultural roots of Sussex County combined with the luxury and excitement of the Atlantic coastline. Choosing Lost Lands means you aren't just renting a patch of grass; you are securing a summer lifestyle where you know your neighbors and your environment is consistently maintained to a high standard.

Furthermore, the park is worth choosing for its incredible value. The inclusion of winter storage and boat parking, combined with the massive lot sizes, makes it a competitive option for long-term RVers. The "Golden Rule" philosophy practiced by the management ensures that the atmosphere remains respectful and enjoyable for everyone. If you are looking for a place where you can build lasting friendships, enjoy nature trails in the morning, and be on the beach by noon, Lost Lands RV Park is the premier seasonal choice in Southern Delaware.

In summary, Lost Lands RV Park stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of the Delaware Eastern Shore. It provides a clean, quiet, and secure environment for seasonal campers to call home. With its spacious sites, modern amenities, and proximity to Fenwick Island, it remains a hidden gem for those who want to "get lost" in the beauty of a Delaware summer while staying exactly where they want to be.

Lost Lands is strictly seasonal. We have enjoyed 2 years here. People are friendly . There is a pool onsite and occasional group Activities for the tenants of Lost Lands. Close to the beach on Fenwick Island, it is between Bethany Beach and on the northern Border of Ocean City , MD.
