Spanning approximately 128 acres of pristine forest and rolling terrain, this retreat center offers a unique blend of rugged outdoor adventure and comfortable group accommodations. For Pennsylvania residents looking to escape the hustle of city life in York, Lancaster, or even nearby Baltimore, this sanctuary provides a peaceful environment where the sounds of civilization are replaced by the gentle rush of Mill Creek and the rustling of leaves. It serves not only as a traditional campground but also as a versatile event space, hosting everything from quiet family weekend getaways to spectacular woodland weddings.

The property is steeped in local history and natural beauty, featuring mature hardwood forests dominated by oak, hickory, and cherry trees. The heart of the retreat is centered around its namesake falls—a series of cascading water features that create a tranquil atmosphere perfect for reflection and photography. [Edit to new ownership's response:Thank you for taking the time to comment back.I'm sorry the cleanliness didn't meet my expectations too - and my bar for cabin housekeeping is low! I wish you well with your venture.]Cute cabins and nice common firepit areas. Beautiful scenery all around. The property is for sale so perhaps understanably it might not be as clean as usual but we had a huge wolf spider in our sleeping space, as did other guests. Yeah, the woods are their territory but it was still a big negative, especially since my friends paid to rent the whole grounds for the weekend. Other spaces were obviously not recently cleaned either. Hopefully new management does a better job.

A nice place. I married my cousin there (to another person). It could use a little upkeep, though but otherwise satisfactory.

We did not visit the retreat center but the park next door. We took the falls trail that is is marked by red. The map says it is .7 miles but we only made it about .5. The trail is continuously downhill and with my health problems we didn't fell that continuing would be safe. It is beautiful and we will be back to try the other trail listed on the map.
