If you've ever wanted to camp right on a beautiful river in the New Hampshire woods this is the place for you. Many great campsite options ranging from right on the river, to set back a little ways, and even in a very open field which is great for larger groups. All your major weekends have activities going on to keep things exciting and engaging for campers. The bath houses are kept clean, stocked and tidy for campers to use. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly, and make sure that you have everything you need. Most if not all camp sites have a power hookup for all your electrical needs. The campground itself is situated in a beautiful location, and its a truly relaxing experience for a weekend, or even an extended stay.

Good old fashioned camping here. Small area for the kids to play allows them to make their own fun and games. Other campers and the owner were very nice. Only negative comment that I will share is that there sure is a lot of traffic in and out all hours of the night. If I could give 10 starts for their Halloween weekend of events I would!

This was our first time camping at Northstar and we will return. Our site was on the large side in terms of size and very clean. Check in was very friendly and professional. What the campground is not: a resort. We were camping without kids this weekend but looking at the "playground" it was old school and somewhat dated. There were large open fields and a great pavilion but our feeling over a 4 day stay is that this campground is not heavy on children riding bikes and such. What it is: A quiet, relaxing camping experience with friendly staff. There was even a large group field camping - and they were having a great time during the day - but at night they respected the rules and everyone was quiet. The man made swimming pond was crystal clear. The water in the stream fresh, cool and clear. Only a short ride to Mt. Sunapee with fantastic views and good hiking. Metal trash cans with lids were supplied at every site. Bathrooms were clean but dated. All in all a great camping experience.

Northstar has been my camping campground for 4-5 yrs now I stay for 4-5 weeks at a time. This year was very stressful trying to get my camper up here. The owners were so understanding and worked with me the whole time. Their whole team are always so helpful and nice very family oriented.

Extremely clean and well maintained compared to many other locations we have camped at in NH. Bathrooms are cleaned daily and showers were clean every day. The showers only cost $0.50 to use but it’s totally worth it. Camp sites are well maintained and the staff goes around multiple times a day to collect trash. The bundles of wood they sell are worth it and they have a deal 3 bundles for $20. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be coming back again.
